When we think about counseling, sometimes we think that you have to sit in an uncomfortable couch and have someone “analyze” everything that you’re saying and tell you if you’re crazy or not. Although you do have sit on a couch when you come to counseling and do have to share your information with a therapist, however, think of counseling as a safe space where you can be yourself and not feel like you are being judged by your actions or for who you are. I am a graduate from Walden University and have a master’s degree of science in clinical mental health counseling (MS). I currently have a certification as a substance abuse counselor (CADC-II) from the Alcohol and Drug Certification Board of Georgia (ADCBGA). I have worked in the field of substance abuse since 2016 and have extensive experience with treating individuals with opiate use disorder. I work with those experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, grief, etc. I am a bilingual therapist, and I am fluent in Spanish. I see clients 10 years and older.
