As a therapist, I am constantly in awe at the bravery and courage it takes to come to a session and face the painful parts of yourself and your past. I have sat in your seat and know how difficult yet rewarding that hour can be. My approach is supportive, collaborative, and client-led. I am easy-going, non-judgmental, and here to be your ally on your therapy journey. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship and am primarily available to see clients in person. By employing the principles of vulnerability and earned trust, amazing things can happen in the therapy room. I have experience in helping clients with anxiety, depression, PTSD, religious trauma, grief, relationship challenges, boundaries, and burnout. I am a trauma-informed therapist and will help you explore what's at the root of the issue. I believe everyone can benefit from therapy and that you don't need to have severe trauma to seek help. Breakaway Counseling helps you shift, grow, and adapt from old habits, ways of thinking, and painful memories that may be holding you back. I'm a huge advocate for change, no matter how small. My very friendly therapy dog, Dave, will be joining us for sessions, so there is always someone small and soft to rely on. Outdoor walk and talks are also available.
