I’m Kelsey (she/her) & I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Art Therapist & MD Board Approved Art Therapy Supervisor from Portland OR with 10+ years of experience as an Art Therapist in the US & abroad. I help clients work through the pain of trauma, grief, anxiety, self-esteem issues, depression, relationships & family dynamics, & toxic masculinity. Clients come to me wanting to manage tough emotions, improve communication, deal with conflict & find healthy coping skills to replace the ones they started using as a means of survival that maybe aren't the safest for them. Offering anyone who’s experienced trauma a sense of safety & containment & the right to be seen, art lets us “tell without talking" either as an act of rebellion in a society that demands our silence or when we can't seem to find the words (a result trauma has on the brain). Art can feel less threatening for some of us. Think about it - opening up to a complete stranger about your darkest demons - can be pretty anxiety-provoking.
