“Recovery Is Possible” As a Licensed Certified Social Worker, my goal is to work in a partnership with individuals to assist them in recognizing their own strengths, self-worth, and resilience to promote growth and positive changes. I work to empower individuals to confidently utilize their abilities to improve the quality of life and experience healing from stressors or crises. I have 25+ years of therapy experience (including: individual, family/couples, and group therapy) addressing a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges for children, teenagers, young adults, adults, and geriatric populations. My practice specializes in using a combination of solution focused, strengths based, client-directed, emdr, cognitive processing and cognitive behavioral techniques in a recovery focused manner; practicing motivational interviewing with an emphasis on partnering with you in order to facilitate your intrinsic motivation for change. My therapy style is relaxed and centered on the belief that all individuals are deserving of care and respect. I seek to create a comfortable, non-judgmental, and supportive environment where individuals can problem-solve issues while gaining greater understanding of themselves. I believe in the power of relationships for healing in the therapeutic process.
