Amity Counseling now accepts Soonercare/Aetna/Humana/OKComplete for children and Ambetter for all ages in order to provide a calm and safe space for anyone seeking help. Amity means “mutual understanding and a peaceful relationship; peace; accord”, which shows how our clinicians use affection, empathy, and respect similar to how you’d treat a friend in need or crisis. We feel the connection between you and your clinician is one of the most valuable factors in achieving your goals in therapy. We each have our unique style so Rodney Dillon, our Practice Manager, will work with you to find which of us would be the best fit. If you’re seeking EMDR, Karlie has received this training. To best help, clinicians at Amity Counseling receive training in many modalities including EMDR, couples, trauma, suicidality. CBT, DBT, etc. These trainings provide up to date information about mental health so you and your clinician can create the ideal treatment plan.
