Zoey McKenna

I enjoy and work primarily with women of all ages, as well as members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I also focus attention on identity and career development, as well as tending to ever evolving relationship dynamics, including family of origin topics and sexual issues. I appreciate working with clients who are naturally curious, growth oriented, and open for feedback, as well as whom have goals of improving both communication and emotional expression throughout their lives. I try to take a creative approach to my work with clients, because no two clients are the same; I'm flexible and open, often offering feedback and deeper reflection while attempting to work at the client's pace, challenging clients to think and consider new perspectives. I'm person centered and use a DBT approach in my work. I find meeting new people to work with to be interesting and energizing. I believe in fostering a growth and I'm am a firm believer that I will learn from my clients the same as they will learn from me. I enjoy relationship building with clients, getting to know not only their goals for therapy but who they are as individuals.
