Therapy is all about finding the tools that each person needs to succeed. I tailor my approach based on the individual and what will work best to address their needs and goals. I primarily help individuals learn how to cope with and accept difficult thoughts and emotions as they arise, without letting them get in the way of you living the life that you want. This often involves learning to be mindful and aware of our own patterns or biases so that we can respond intentionally instead of reacting automatically. I believe that the therapeutic relationship should be egalitarian and equal. We all struggle with the human condition and I’m no better than the next person struggling to get by. I offer a non-judgmental space where you can explore what really matters to you without worrying about the views of others. I see therapy as a chance to support people in their journeys of self-discovery as we look at the way that our history, identities, biology, thoughts, and emotions all come together to make us who we are. I offer a safe space in which you can explore what makes you into the person that you are and want to become.
