I enjoy working with a diverse group of clients. Some have never been to counseling before and are uncertain what they are looking for. Many are going through a difficult transition and seek help and support in moving through it. And others have been to counseling before, but continue facing the same struggles because of earlier traumas that still affect them. Common issues include: adjustments and life transitions, difficulty finding one’s voice due to parental programming, perfectionism that creates barriers to healthy and happy living, difficulties arising from unresolved childhood trauma, difficulties arising from other traumas Areas of specialization include Life Transition work, Developmental and Attachment based trauma, and Shame Resilience work. Some individuals I see receive EMDR as part of their treatment. Those receiving EMDR express problems with social anxiety, relationships, historic trauma, and low self esteem. Many have been in therapy but struggle with making changes. I see all my clients as the ultimate experts in their lives.
