Develop a mutual understanding of your concerns; 2. Establish short-term goals to provide a sense of direction; 3. Consider long-term goals to explore hopes, dreams, & aspirations; 4. Identify strengths & resources to mobilize motivation; 5. Explore steps to reaching goals & resolving problems. My approach is informed by a number of therapeutic models (Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, Ericksonian Hypnotherapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Health Psychology, NLP, Positive Psychology, & Solution-Oriented Brief Therapy) as well as research on neuroscience, social & emotional intelligence. I've also designed numerous training programs that aid people in improving their health and enhancing the quality of their lives (see groups listed below).
