Everyone, men included, go through challenges in life. This can look like anything from feeling depressed, anxious, or overwhelmed to being constantly on a hair's trigger, struggling with substance use, or just uncertain about who we are. But way too often, men and males are taught at a young age to keep their problems to themselves, that asking for help is admitting defeat, that I shouldn’t be feeling like "this." I've been there myself. Feeling this way isn’t a sign of your failure as a man. It’s a sign of your humanity. And sometimes, having someone to talk with can make a big difference. My aim is to support anyone identifying as a man or male explore the challenges they face and chart a new path forward that is aligned with their values and sense of self. I'm a collaborative and trauma-informed clinician who uses an Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach while also drawing on other modalities. You don't need to go through your struggles alone; in fact, asking for help is a sign of strength. While I focus on men, I welcome adult clients of all gender expressions.
