Andi McMurry

Hi, I'm Andi! I have experience with working with outpatient mental health, emotional, sexual and physical abuse, crisis intervention, couples and family therapy & individual therapy. My preference is to work with clients that need guidance in personal development and growth, acceptance and effective coping with daily life stressors, life transitions and life adjustments and strengthening the relationship and family dynamic. I aim towards building a therapeutic alliance with my clients because having a bond with my clients promotes an effective therapeutic journey. I utilize an eclectic approach. I gravitate towards talk therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Symbolic-Experiential Therapy and many more that varies per client. I was born in Ruston, Louisiana as the only child in a single parent household, my mom is my biggest supporter. There are 3 key traits that I embody: honesty, fun-spirited and positive. I bring these personal traits into the therapy process. When I am not counseling; I simply enjoy spending quality time with family and friends, binge-watching and sleeping.
