Steve Brownrigg provides outpatient, substance abuse and chemical dependency counseling services to those affected by alcoholism and other addictions. I specialize in treating those clients with who are Dually-Diagnosed, with mental health disorders in addition to addiction issues. I am Certified by EMDRIA in the use of EMDR for Sexual Trauma and other Childhood issues. I also offer couples counseling and co-dependency counseling for significant others. Often, spouses or significant others begin counseling in advance of the alcoholic/addict to work on their own issues and to learn how to effectively deal with their loved one. My specialization involves treatment of individuals who desire coordinated attention to Addiction and Mental Health Issues, those who may have experienced failure in prior treatment(s), and in the coordination of addiction counseling with treatment of underlying life challenges, such as co-dependency, depression, trauma, childhood issues, abuse or anxiety. Steve Brownrigg is dually-credentialed to treat both mental health disorders and addictions. I am intimately familiar with 12-Step Recovery programs. Trauma and childhood issues are common with my clientele, and I am Certified by EMDRIA in the use of EMDR for treatment of trauma.
