Suzanne Saltzer

I believe that the root of therapy is about finding connection to the self, and through that, more deeply connecting to others and the world. As a therapist, I strive to create a space where you feel witnessed, deeply supported, and comfortable enough to explore all parts of yourself with curiosity, compassion, and care. In our work together, we’ll reflect on what it means to be human and the suffering that comes with it, examine the narratives that you hold about yourself, delve into what brings meaning to your life, and process past wounds in an effort to move towards healing. My approach is warm, relational, and strengths-based; grounded in humanistic values, systems thinking, emotion exploration, and body awareness. My hope is that through the therapeutic process you get to know yourself more fully, relate to yourself more gently, feel less alone in your struggles, and develop new tools to navigate life’s challenges. As a social worker and therapist, I am committed to working with clients from a trauma-informed, social justice, and equity lens.
