Maureen Anne Deryke

I am a Provisional Licensed Mental Health Practitioner and a Provisional Licensed Master Social Work. I believe that healing is a collaborative endeavor that requires honest caring without judgment, and I cooperatively assist my clients in clarifying their goals for treatment. Through my work, I am committed to helping children, adolescents, adults and families overcome trauma, anger, depression, anxiety, addictions to alcohol and drugs, and other stresses that affect all of us at some time in our lives. I strive to maintain a consistent lens of social justice and empowerment in my practice. As a therapist, I am warm, open, encouraging, and direct. I consider myself an active therapist, combining experience, education, creativity, and sense of humor with a down-to-earth, holistic approach to therapy. I have served diverse populations, including trauma survivors, the homeless, LGBT individuals and incarcerated individuals. Rather than adopting one methodology for all individuals and issues, I draw from a variety of methods to create a tailored approach for each individual and situation. These methods consist of Strengths-based, Solution-focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral and Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and DBT.
