"Working with trauma is as much about remembering how we survived as it is about what is broken." These words were written by Bessel van der Kolk and are words that guide my practice as a therapist. We all face hard stuff in life, and for each person what that looks like differs and cannot be held up to others for comparison. Pain is Pain. The good news, however, is that also means that hope is hope and joy is joy. The hard events we face in our lives are teachers that give each of us an opportunity to face our fears head on and heal to fully embrace who we were always meant to become! I’m passionate about creating a safe space to help foster compassion and curiosity for those parts that helped us survive and to work together to heal of painful past experiences and trauma My areas of specialty are sexual abuse, covert abuse both sexual & emotional, eating disorders & somatic therapy. I consider herself a "Trauma Nerd" and after training with various experts my modality combines neuroscience, somatic & experiential techniques. I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT MY JOB IS TO HELP MY CLIENTS LEARN THAT THEY ARE THEIR OWN BEST HEALERS
