About Hopkins

No matter your past or present, your haves or have-nots, life can be difficult. We believe that people need to be understood – to feel validated and acknowledged for who they are, what they're good at, and how they may struggle. Without these moments of understanding, life can feel mundane, lonely, or deeply confusing. At the most troubling times, when stress, depression, or relationships overwhelm, change can seem impossible. Yet change is made possible through a trusting therapeutic relationship and a careful understanding of oneself and others. View 5 Photos Everyone is a uniquely complex person with an unconscious mind. This means we have forces operating within us, but outside our awareness, that help us thrive and can also trap us in limiting cycles of pain. While some therapies focus on the “news of the week,” we specialize in going beyond the surface to address the underlying roots of your troubles. Every therapist at HBH is aware of racial inequality and is LGBTQIA+-affirming. We provide nuanced and compassionate care so you can truly be understood for who you are. We’ll be in it with you to witness, challenge, question, and struggle together. Through careful listening, honesty, and effort, we offer an affirming space where you can grow, and heal.
