About Great

We are based in Reno, Nevada, however, serve members of outlying communities, such as Elko, Fernley, Fallon, Yerington, Minden/Gardenerville, and even Las Vegas and Henderson! The staff at Great Basin Behavioral Health are committed to maintaining a high standard of excellence. In fact, our staff are among the most skilled and highly trained within the Reno/Tahoe area, with specific training in the following areas: CBT, DBT, Prolonged Exposure, EMDR, Substance Use Treatment, EFT, and more! View 7 Photos Our outpatient services are comprehensive. Our 16 therapists, along with several graduate student interns, provide individual, couples, family and group-based services. Great Basin offers several groups designed to manage distress tolerance, difficulties with emotion regulation, and interpersonal communication and relationships for both adults and adolescents. Furthermore, our agency focuses on community collaboration and regularly invests time communicating with other local practitioners for optimal therapeutic outcomes. Great Basin Behavioral Health is locally owned and actievly managed onsite by our founders Dr. Rudy von Ravensberg, LMFT and Dr. Chris Edwards, LCSW, both of whom were born and raised in the area and are fully invested in the community. Our investment is real, concrete and meaningful; our agency anually funds the Jason Walenta Memorial Scholarship at UNR, is a Gold Sponsor at the Swope Middle School Panther Prowl, and annually sponsors families through non-profits, such as the Children's Cabinet.
