As a clinical neuropsychologist, I specialize in evaluating complex cognitive and behavioral problems that often pose a dilemma for individuals, parents, teachers, and treating professionals. I believe that a comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation should provide an in-depth understanding of the entire person, including their cognitive style, emotional style, and strengths as well as weaknesses. The immediate goal is to arrive at an accurate diagnosis that will guide treatment, but the ultimate purpose is to promote deeper self-understanding and to enable each person to achieve his or her true potential. Neuropsychological assessment is based on an understanding of brain systems responsible for cognitive functioning, learning, processing information, behavior and mood regulation. The evaluation examines the ways in which the brain controls thinking, emotions, and behavior by measuring a wide range of cognitive abilities, mood states and personality traits. I am conducting full evaluations via TeleHealth, as well as consultation sessions designed to provide immediate support and assistance. Both new and existing patients are invited to schedule an appointment for help with any related problems or concerns.
