Amy Bach DiLello

I am a licensed clinical psychologist, trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). I work with adults on a number of different issues, but I specialize in the treatment of anxiety, including problems such as panic disorder, excessive worry, social anxiety disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder. I frequently work with couples on relationship difficulties as well. CBT is a present-focused, skills-based approach to working on problems. Together, we identify goals for treatment and then we lay out a plan, using skills and strategies that have proven through research to be helpful for people who are working on similar issues. I have twenty years of experience using CBT to help clients achieve their goals. We work together to challenge faulty thinking, modify negative behaviors, build on strengths, and gain insight into patterns. My aim is to empower clients and to give them the tools they need to feel centered and well. I completed my doctoral training at the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders at Boston University. I am a Clinical Associate Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Human Behavior and Medicine at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
